PSIRENS and Slow Proteo recorded their newest EP–Elation and Destruction–over several years of meeting up in East Haven, Santa Cruz, and Santa Fe. After the 2020 CZU Lightning Complex Fires forced Avery to leave his Santa Cruz home for two months, he traveled to Santa Fe to stay with Paris and the duo to finish the albumn and create a full-album film shot in the New Mexico desert. Steeped in the tension of climate disasters and a raging pandemic, it explores humanity after environmental collapse and rebirth.
A Twin Peaks-inspired split EP recorded near Snoqualmie, Washington after a DIY tour through Mexico and the Southwest and Western US.
